How sad!
The full moon
Hides all evening.
Wearing only moonlight,
A fox on the road
Prepares for death.
If only the magpie
Could speak to me
Of other things.
Nuzzling rain;
The afternoon bull
And the white egret.
Alas...
Such tragedy,
Such beauty.
Of clouds and rain
The morning magpies,
Song for my dreams.
Tsunami spring,
So many flowers
But few gardens.
Riding the wind
The spider web,
Empty.
Afternoon surprise,
The red bougainvillea
Jumps from a hedge!
A young girl on the beach
Waving to an airplane
From a wheelchair.
Don't worry big dog!
These headlights
Won't hurt you.
Homeless moth,
Two days exploring
My ceiling.
Home to small creatures,
Felling tall tree.
Afternoon chagrin!
The evening possum
Meandering
Across the roof.
School kids at play,
Five hundred moons to go
Before they're me.
This evening's sea
Capsizing
A pregnant mind.
The lawn, overgrown,
Now home to Dandelion
Epicureans.
'Speak of God' asked the cricket,
'Into my mouth'
Whispered the magpie.
So, this moist earth
Where I place a tree,
Will take me too, someday.
Twilight clouds,
Hiding the bats
Briefly.
Hail mosquito!
Take my legs,
Take my solitude!
A long trek today.
Just me, and a magpie
Around the lawn.
A white sea
A morning mist,
This autumn skin.
Digging the earth,
A simple worm... alas...
Now two.
A bashful evening,
Tonight's porcupine
Playing dead.
This plant
Hardly whimpers
When dropping petals.
Pasted on a tree
Roosting cranes.
White bouquet!
Pity the waning moon...
Where will you rest
Your tilting sorrow?
A blue sky opens
The palm frond
At last.
'OK' - I say
To the magpies
'Shit on my deck'
Toyota grill,
Butterfly's final
Resting place,
With my fingers,
Clasping the moon,
Storing in the heart.
Over the ocean
Wish I could send you
This moonrise.
Twilight swim,
Reading waves
By moonlight.
Clouds and sea,
But no one believes
A child's drawing.
Rainstorm
Caught the moth
Without a hat.
Pruning lime tree,
Dreading your long thorns
This fearful finger.
A day of solitude,
Just the poet's brush
Speaking.
150 X 150 cm
Impatient waves
Tickling your chest,
Pacific ocean
Twin peaks
Under an empty sky
Waiting for clouds.
These old bones
Still catching
Butterflies
A morning moment
Cut in half,
Aeroplane shadow.
Sucking worms
Under morning rain
A magpie's beak
Unhappy crows
Breaking china
Inside my head.
In my youth
As a dog
Chasing beach balls.
Milky Way!
Illuminating a pathway
Back to childhood.
Well!...
Thought the dog
Watching the children play.
Climbing my fingers,
Where will you sleep tonight
Blue butterfly?
Handsome boy,
With green plumage sprouted,
Sweet potato!
No one invited to
The bachelor's dinner
Of clouds and sea.
